Children's Mental Health Week 2025 will take place from 3-9 February 2025.

Place2Be's Children's Mental Health Week is a mental health awareness week that launched in 2015 by Place2Be. The week exists to empower, equip and give a voice to all children and young people in the UK. This year, the theme is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself. We want to encourage embracing self-awareness to build resilience, grow and develop.

Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 is joining forces with Here4You to explore the importance of self-awareness and expressing emotions.

Place2be launched the first-ever Children’s Mental Health Week in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health.

Now in its ninth year, Place2Be hope to encourage more people than ever to get involved, spread the word and raise vital funds for children’s mental health.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

When we take notice of ourselves and how we feel, we are able to make better choices and be more connected with our feelings and behaviours. Noticing these things can help us recognise when we need support.

Sometimes we can feel like we are in the middle of a tussle of emotions– feeling joy, then sad, angry and jealous, all at the same time! These emotions help us to understand ourselves better – what we like and dislike, where we feel comfortable and where we are scared.

There are parts of ourselves that we may not see as easily. Sometimes we can learn more about ourselves with the help of family, friends, and teachers.

Getting to know yourself and each other is a wonderful way to grow, make connections and support others.

"The most important thing is to try to know yourself.“
— Socrates

“Promise me you’ll always remember you’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
— Christopher Robin

“Every one of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves.”— Princess Diana
